I am currently a sophomore at Sycamore High School in Sycamore, Illinois. I hold a 3.196 GPA with some AP courses. This year I am enjoying my World History and Public Speaking classes. Someday I hope to pursue a degree in social services, and work as a Child Life Specialist. In 2018 I was awarded with the Service Award for the Sycamore branch of Rotary.
I am a utility player, playing mostly catcher, second base, and outfield. I like being a utility player, because I get experience playing multiple positions. I like the variety, and I love being able to fill in for the team where I am needed. This past season I had a 0.500 batting average, a 0.561 on base percentage and 16 RBI’s.
I have many interests besides softball. I love reading, and currently my favorite author is John Green. I like volunteering in service clubs such as The Best Buddies Organization, Sycamore Rotary Branch, as well as Kawani’s Key Club. I also volunteered at Kishwaukee Community Hospital. I also went on two mission trips in the last two years. The first was to Montana where we worked on a Native American Reservation, helping make improvements to the local school as well as other social work. And the second to Texas doing repair work for locals as part of the Hurricane Harvey Relief Effort. I enjoy many outdoor activities, such as water skiing, snow skiing, camping and hiking. I recently went on a week long spiritual backpacking trip to Michigan. When I am not spending time on the field I enjoy spending it with our #TEAMMATES.
